The LakeSide Fellowship Preschool and Kindergarten is committed to providing a safe and loving environment where each child will be guided to grow spiritually, cognitively, emotionally, socially and physically through developmentally appropriate practices that allow them to grow as God designed. We currently serve children ages two to five years.

LakeSide Fellowship also offers Christian Kindergarten. Our academic curriculum will build a strong foundation following the benchmarks set by the Florida Department of Education in language arts/reading, math, science and social studies. The children will also enjoy art, Spanish, music and physical education classes. We are currently accepting applications. Class size is limited to enroll early!

Teacher Requirements: All staff members are required to have 40 hour training from 4C in Early Childhood Education. Teachers have CDA/CDS certifications or are currently working towards their degree in childhood education. All staff members are fingerprinted and background checked by local, state and federal agencies. All staff members have a 10 hour continuing education requirement in Early Education area. Staff members are certified in child First Aid and CPR.

Calendar and Location: LakeSide Fellowship UMC Preschool observes the same holidays and days off as Seminole County School District, with a few exceptions. We are located at 305 S. Orange Blvd. in the Heathrow / Sanford / Lake Mary area just down the street from Wilson Elementary.

Curriculum: Our teaching staff is dedicated to making the LakeSide Fellowship Preschool an interactive and fun learning experience for children. Our classrooms for toddlers through five year olds are arranged into play-learning centers. Children are provided with a variety of activities and materials from which to choose. Activities are organized around thematic units allowing children to learn through art, dramatic play, science/nature, fine motor skills, math, finger plays and circle time. The weekly schedule includes a music time for two year olds through kindergarten and playground time.

Hello Everyone,
 
Summer time is over and we are getting ready for school.  The painting is done, the floors are waxed and the teachers have been calling all of their new families with information about the beginning of the school year.  Our staff has been hard at work to make sure that we start the year off with lots of fun and exciting activities.

We are looking forward to seeing all of our old friends and meeting our new friends too at 9:00 on the 21st and 22nd.  The "Meet the Teacher" is intended for you to spend time in the class with your child from 9 - 9:45 then to leave them for a short time with their teacher and friends so you can join me for a short Parent Meeting in the sanctuary.  You will be able to go back to the class and spend some time with your child's teacher.  She will have a a lot of useful information for you, so please make an effort to attend the meetings.
